I began experiencing anxiety and panic attacks, and I was desperate to find a way to deal with them. I walked into my first yoga class feeling part determined and part terrified that I would be horrible at it and spend the entire hour curled up in child’s pose. Thankfully, that didn’t happen. In fact, as I continued to practice, not only did yoga help me conquer the anxiety and panic, but I was noticing improvement in my strength, flexibility, and balance. I was feeling more centered. Life’s ups and downs didn’t go away, but I felt better equipped to handle them. Yoga’s benefits were spilling over into my professional life as an actor as well. I felt more grounded at auditions, and I wasn’t sweating it so much if I didn’t get the part. And, I had more body confidence than ever before. I realized I had come to the mat looking for one thing and found so much more. That was the lightbulb moment that put me on the path toward becoming a teacher.

I completed my 200-hour certification with Marcia Camino at Pink Lotus Yoga in Lakewood, OH and I continue to seek out knowledge, training, and experience both as a yoga teacher and practitioner.

What do I love about teaching?

The thing I love most about teaching is “paying it forward.” Yoga has made a huge difference in my life, and it’s exciting being able to help others discover yoga’s life-changing benefits for themselves.
